Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is the NEET exam date declared?

NEET UG 2026 was held on 3 May 2026, with a re-examination on 21 June 2026. As of 26 October 2026, no NEET UG 2027 exam date has been found in official NTA notices. Check neet.nta.nic.in for the latest announcement.

Is 400 a good score in NEET?

A score of 400 out of 720 clears the qualifying cut-off for most categories in most years, but it is usually not enough for a government MBBS seat in the general category. It may help with reserved-category seats, some state-quota seats, or private and deemed colleges, depending on that year's rank and cut-offs.

Is NEET 2 times a year?

No. NEET UG is conducted once a year by the National Testing Agency. A second sitting happens only as a re-examination for a defined group of candidates, as in 2024 and 2026, and does not give everyone a second attempt.

Who is eligible for the NEET exam?

Candidates must be at least 17 years old on or before 31 December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit under current NTA rules. They must have passed Class 12 (or be appearing) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English, with the minimum aggregate marks set by the NTA information bulletin (50% for General, lower for reserved categories). Always confirm in the official bulletin.

What is 20,000 rank in NEET marks?

A rank near 20,000 usually corresponds to roughly 550 to 620 marks out of 720. The exact figure changes every year with paper difficulty and the number of candidates, so treat it as a rough range and check the marks-vs-rank data for the year you are interested in.

Will NEET 2026 be easy?

NEET 2026 has already been held (3 May 2026), so its difficulty is now a matter of reported experience rather than prediction. Difficulty is subjective and varies by subject and candidate. Judge your performance against the official answer key and your expected score, not against rumours.

Is 75000 a good rank in NEET?

A rank of 75,000 is unlikely to get a government MBBS seat in the general category. Reserved-category candidates, state-quota rules, private colleges or deemed universities may offer options, and BDS, BAMS, BHMS or other allied courses are often possible. Closing ranks vary by state and year, so check counselling data.

Can I get AIIMS with 10,000 rank?

Unlikely in the general category. AIIMS closing ranks are usually far lower (better) than 10,000, especially at AIIMS New Delhi. Reserved-category candidates may have a chance at some newer AIIMS institutes. Check the closing ranks from recent MCC counselling rounds.

Can I get MBBS with 60,000 rank?

In the general category, a government MBBS seat at this rank is unlikely. It is more realistic with category reservation, a favourable state quota, or a private or deemed medical college, where fees are much higher. Results depend on the year and the counselling round, so compare with previous closing ranks.

Which is no 1 AIIMS in India?

AIIMS New Delhi is widely regarded as the top AIIMS and consistently leads national medical rankings such as the NIRF. It is also the most competitive AIIMS for MBBS admission through NEET UG.

Is 40,000 a good rank in NEET for MBBS?

A rank of 40,000 is not usually enough for a general-category government MBBS seat through all-India counselling. It can work in some state quotas, for reserved categories, or for private and deemed colleges. Closing ranks differ by state, category and year.

What is the lowest rank in NEET?

There is no fixed lowest rank. The last rank equals the number of candidates who appeared, which is around 20 lakh in recent years. Only candidates at or above the qualifying percentile (50th percentile for General) are eligible for counselling.

Is IAS harder than NEET?

The two exams test different things, so they are hard to compare directly. NEET UG is a single objective test taken by about 20 lakh candidates. The UPSC Civil Services exam is a three-stage process (prelims, mains and interview) with a far lower selection rate and a much longer preparation time. Most people consider UPSC the more demanding exam.

Can a 14 year old give NEET?

No. A candidate must be at least 17 years old on or before 31 December of the year of admission, and must have completed or be appearing for Class 12. A 14-year-old does not meet the age requirement.

Is CA harder than NEET?

It depends on what you mean by hard. NEET is a one-day, high-competition entrance test. The CA course has three levels (Foundation, Intermediate, Final), articleship training, and low pass percentages across many attempts over several years. Many people consider CA the longer and more demanding path, while NEET is the more competitive entry exam.

What is the official NEET UG exam date for the current year?

The official NEET UG date is published by the National Testing Agency on neet.nta.nic.in. If no date has been announced, this page states “Official date not announced yet” together with the last-checked timestamp and a link to the official source.

Has the NEET UG date been officially announced for the next year?

Check the NEET UG exam date hub above. It shows the latest verified status from official notices and tells you exactly what has and has not been announced.

Where can I verify a NEET exam-date notice?

Always verify on the NTA website (neet.nta.nic.in) or the NTA notices page (nta.ac.in). Every date on this site links to the official source we checked.

What is the difference between a tentative date and a confirmed date?

A confirmed date is published by the exam authority in an official notice. A tentative date is an indicative schedule that may change. We label tentative dates clearly and never show a fabricated countdown for them.

What does a NEET re-examination notice mean?

A re-examination is held for a defined scope of candidates (sometimes affected candidates only) when the authority cancels or voids an earlier session. We show original, revised and re-exam dates separately, each with its scope and source.

Where can I find the official NEET syllabus?

From the NTA NEET documents page linked on this site, or from the official information bulletin for the cycle.

How can I check application, correction-window and admit-card announcements?

Use the Exam Date Finder tool or the exam hub pages; each milestone is listed with its official source and last-checked time.

Does the exam date page update automatically?

We run automated source checks and send changes to a review queue. Nothing is published until a reviewer confirms it against the official notice.

What should I do if a date shown here differs from the official notice?

Use the Correction report link in the footer. We review reports against official sources and publish an outcome.

Is NEET Exam Date an official NTA or government website?

No. NEET Exam Date is an independent information portal. We are not affiliated with NTA, UPSC, SSC, CUET or any government examination authority, and we do not issue admit cards or decide eligibility.
